Uncommanded generation of 'p' command

Hi all ...

recently reactivated VAC for use with FSX, and am getting irritating problem whereby the sim keeps randomly pausing when run using VAC. I decided
to head for the forum here and when i went to use the search facility (VAC still running) lo and behold when i type in 'pause' a 'p'
is added on the end ... when i come out of VAC and try again, no such problem ... i should perhaps mention for those not familiar with fsx,
'p' is the pause keystroke. All a little weird i think you'd agree. Can anyone help?
