Hi Aceweepop,

Is the profile using a PTA or PTD key assignment? If so, disable it. Make sure you re-load the profile in VAC System after saving in VAC Builder and before re-testing.

Hi Shift_E
I have done some more testing and this is my finding:-

If in VAC builder I leave PTA set to none then profile goes deaf,ie not activated even though loaded and swiched on.

I then assign anything to PTA ,save profile, reload and switch on,then activate with assigned key and it works. It continues to work if I then remove assignment ,save, load, and switch on. But if I exit VAC system and then come back profile is deaf,ie not activated.

Basically I am saying I cannot activate my profile unless I use a PTA command. Is this normal????

Hi Aceweepop,

No, that is not normal. It sounds as though something is wrong in the profile. Could you email the profile to me and I'll look it over, it's the easiest way for me to diagnose.

Hi Aceweepop,

I meant get the support email address from the help in the Builder, sorry about that.

I see that you are using the toggle switch with the PTA and you said it works fine, but if you set the PTA to NONE then VAC will no longer send commands. You found a bug, VAC does not clear the toggle mode when you set the PTA key to NONE. The work around is to set the switch to DEFAULT first, then set the key to NONE.

I'll get that fixed in the next update.

I think I have the same problem...

Postby graves_09 on Mon Oct 01, 2007 5:30 pm

I have no trouble taking to the computer, I went through the windows tutorial last night with no problem. I then loaded my profile to VAC and turned it on and got nothing. If I hit test, it recognizes the phrase, but it will not work if i use key tester, note pad, etc. I previously had PTA command but removed it from this profile. I have read the other bug report and work around (I will try it tonight) but I was wondering if the patch you referred to is on its way anytime soon.
Also I tried making a new profile with just one test phrase and I had the same problem. Could it also be contributing to the issue that I used VAC 1.8.5 for XP to create the original profile and now i am using VAC 2.whatever for vista?
Thanks for your help.

Hi Graves,

If your phrases are being recognized in the Builder then VAC should be working for you and we are missing a step.

From your post it sounds like you are not running VAC System. VAC is two programs, the Builder that creates and maintains your profiles and the System that you use your profiles with. If you are running both programs and make changes in the Builder, be sure to reload the profile in the System.

I’m still working on the update, I wished I could say how long soon is, but I can’t. My best guess is about a month and that depends on how work goes.
:)

Your profiles will work in either XP or Vista, it doesn't matter with VAC.
