Royal Navy Markings for the Pacific Theater Operations

Whenever I select to use numbering for PTO for RN aircraft the letters show up as red no matter what choice I make in the drop down list. I have to select default for RN & RAF to get the grey lettering on the aircraft. What is causing this? PTO FAA aircraft lettering was not red like the ETO counterparts.
