quick Start guide

Here is a Quick start guide that I have put down quickly- feel free to edit if not correct.

1. download the program
2. download the TLGen Mission Templates 2
3. unzip these to a file C:\ILGen
4. The zip holds the following folders:

‘C:\ILGen’
‘TLGen.exe’ - the executable file
TLGen-Aircrafts.config’ - the aircraft configuration file
‘ReadMe.txt’ -
‘C:\ILGen\Missions’
‘C:\ILGen\Templates’

ai2 template.mis
pilot2 template.mis

copy the AI2 and pilot 2 .mis files into ‘C:\ILGen\Templates’


5.double click TLGen.exe
6. This opens program
7. click generate
8. close
9. go to your main il2fb folder
10.open Missions
11open Single
12open NN
make a new folder and call it take off and landings e.g. C:\Program files\IL2 FB\Missions\Single\NN\Takeoff and Landing.
13. Go to C:\ILGen\Missions
This is the mission generator output folder.
you must copy all the output .mis and .properties files and paste to the IL-2 folder
C:\Program files\IL2 FB\Missions\Single\NN\Takeoff and Landing.
14. launch il2 fb
15.single missions
16.none
17 you should see Takeoff and Landing
18 you will get the list of missions to fly

Greetings!

For some reason I can't get TLG to work. After unzipping to the recommended folder, I double click on tlgen.exe I get an "the application failed to initialize properly" message.

I might have an older version of TLG. I can't remember where I downloaded it from. Could you provide the link for that and the "TLGen Mission Templates 2" ?

I'm using the 4.02M patch.
