Hi guys,

I guess I should kick this off seeing as it was I who had made the initial suggestion for this forum.

For those of you who don't already know my utility is called Mission Mate, it has been written using Visual Basic 6. The second release is currently active in the community and I am currently working on the third release for Pacific Fighters.

Mission Mate as you can probably guess focuses on mission building and editing for the IL-2 series.

I look forward to hearing from the rest of you.

Cheers CrazySchmidt. :)

Oh yes, of course, the link.

The current version of Mission Mate (v1.2) is available here at airwarfare.com at the following link.

Hi guys,

A splendid idea Ian, I look forward to sharing ideas with other like-minded folk such as yourself.

As you know I'm always so busy working on IL2-MAT Manager but I'll do my best to stop by whenever I can.

The latest version of the program (v1.95) is available here:

Cheers all

Good idea

Hello all,

This is a good idea, great work.

My utility is Quick Mission Tuner, which gives you a GUI to modify and maintain your IL2 missions. I’m currently working on a new project for NGen along the same lines as QMT that will help users modify NGen campaigns.

Howdy gang...

I guess we all know each other already!

My tools are UQMG (UberQuick Mission Generator), UQMM (UQ Mission Manager), and UQMB (UQ Mission Briefer).

This will be a good place to exchange programming ideas and perhaps help each other out.

See ya.

Hey Demon,

I see you still have a link on UQMG for QMT, are you still passing the directory when it's launched? If you are I'll make sure QMT will open on the passed mission directory.

Looking forward to your new release.

But of course! There is a lot of people who ask me to keep that in there... why would I remove it? So you are working on a NGen QMT type app? That sounds cool!

This is a cool board... it works really well. Thanks CrazySchmidt for starting this.

Soooo... anybody bothered Lowengrin and Starshoy to come by here yet? Nice to see Sensei here as well. Anyone heard of Sammie, Lunix, and BadBernie? Looks like greatergreen is down, so I am not sure where the FBDaemon stuff is residing now.

UberDemon you seem to know a lot of the developers contributing to this Sim, please feel free to invite them to the forum. I would, but I only know a few and how to get in touch with less

Cheers, CrazySchmidt. :)

I didn't the 3 people that use QMT would be worth it. :-)

Yea, the NGen edit is coming along. There is so much to it. Starshoy deserves a big kudos for his work.

Hi everybody,
I've been writing sim tools in VB since the original MS Combat Flight Sim, and in C since at least Tornado.....
Mostly active in Strike Fighters right now, just released a VB Map generation tool.

I did write a 'Mission Printer' for IL-2 - creates an HTML page from the .MIS file, listing conditions, objectives etc and a flight plan for the player, but didn't release it - will dig it out., maybe post the source?

See http://members.lycos.co.uk/keithb77/ for some of my tools and my one posted IL-2 mission, including a briefing generated with the above program.

Cheers,
keith

Hi Guys,

Nice to see everyone here. I am part of the Scorched Earth team. We are building a fully dynamic, player-driven campaign system. Details at seow.sourceforge.net .

The system has 3 components:

SQL Database: presently 70,000 records of in-game data over 5 FB/PF maps (before the campaigns even start).

Win32 Mission Analyzer/Generator: mainly VB .NET code.

Mission Planner Web Application: mainly Javascript, with some VB and SQL code.

You can see that a lot of work has been done, but there is always more to do.

Anyway, nice to be in the company of such a well-known group of guys.

Cheers,
4Shades
