I´ve now installed the software and am getting . the vac builder not responding at certain times, I´ve run the 5.1 ms voice software with 3 test phases first to increase it´s accuracy, no lockups on that side.
Anyone or any info, I´ll let you know or you post here if he replies.
I´ll try all before upgrading to XP because I want this to work
thanks again

I´ll be download the speak pack and reinstalling that also as my next course of action
Do you think the Microsoft .Net framework 1.0 with 1.1 patch could have affected it.
I wonder if the other W2K users have that installed also!
Pye wrote:It still kept not responding even from with windows but I started noticing othere problem not normal even when VAC wasn´t loaded
so I´ve rolled back to before I had .net framework and lot of other rubbish
Will start with a fresh download that you´ve just put on the site, ( thanks for writing "updating" in red ) as you were uploading it! got a drink and you finished in the mean time! LOL

I was amused when you have to train the voice recognitin software, as you read it understands you as you say each word. If you´ve never tryed voice recognition software then this is quite novel, I´ve an english accent and so it could understand me. So I thought my girfriend who is spanish and her friend who were in the other room learning english from text books should try this. I called them in and It was not the least to say funny to see them trying to speak pronouncing words wrong and the text not highlighting and moving along. All though as they spoke it moved anyway the majority of times, the software forced them to prounce the words more clearly. This was a great lesson for them. The down side was I lost the use of the pc, because I couldn´t get them off it!
Just thougth I´d share that with you (shift E)
Thanks
XP and VAC here I come.................
