WHOOPS! QMT directory no work no more!

Qmt’s worked great for me (v172) till I started fooling making a COOP into a campaign the other night. I get a blank mission list area, then when I hit ‘directory’ it freezes and I have to close.

I can move things about with ‘convert mission’ but cannot navigate properly through my missions directory as it doesn’t seem to want to read it.

I manually pulled everything v172 out and used Tweak Now to reg clean. Then installed the new v188. Same thing. First showing was blank mission list area and a freeze as soon as I hit directory. Uninstalled it two or three times since, with Add/Remove, no joy. :(

My preferences don’t seem to have changed, and QMT is still ‘aimed at’ my Game Folder, where all the patches have gone successfully.

Any help gratefully received.

(Just make me feel a bit sorrier for myself about the QMT prob, I’ve lost ALL my current campaigns! That long slog against the Allies in bl@@dy Normandy. About 42 bl@@dy missions!) :smt099

Hi,

QMT generates a file "error.txt" in the QMT install directory, could you send that to me?

If you had the Backup option turn on, your missions will be in a folder called "QMT Backup" in the QMT install folder.

Shift, thanks for getting back so quickly. I've got the 'error.txt' ready to send, what's the best way to get it to you short of pasting it in the reply box?

...Unfortunately did not have back up in operation

Hi,

My email address is in the help file under support.

No backup! Shame on you.

If you have WinXP you could try a restore. Create a system restore point first.

Hi,

Roger that. Just double checking, do you send it to comcast, not verizon, correct? That could be my bad, I may not have changed it in the help file.

Just change verizon to comcast and re-send.

Sorry Shift, wrong email, and I went off to bed straight after, so didn't read your follow ups until now.

Error txt sent as attachment to the comcast.

Hoping you can get to the bottom of it
