I worry a bit though - with all the mayhem lately about copyright/trademarks, did anyone try and contact Oleg about the use of game data e.g. maps?
I can't believe he'd object - I even hope he'll contribute - but then better save than sorry

I will be emailing Ubisoft, maddox, 1c and Oleg Monday. In the meantime I will get trademark and copyright statements up soon

That's a big relieve - it's just that these things can get ugly very fast don't want that to happen.

Maybe a statement like "for educational purposes only" would help

I agree with MaXMhZ, he does have a valid point here. Unfortunately this world is always becoming more restricting, so everyone will have to take care when it comes to things like copyright and trademark issues.

I would really hate to see a law-suit come somebodys way here, it could be the worse thing that could happen to this website and manual apart from nobody becoming interesting to begin with and showing no interest.

I had emailed Oleg some time ago about this, got once confusing response from him and then tried to get him to understand what I talking about. Got nothing back from that, but then again he had enough things to think about when PF was released.
